The continuous increase of crimes in Brazil causes anger in the society, tired of promises unfulfilled by the political class. In this despair environment, proposals based on analysis merely emotional proliferate and gain social support. Either for the technical ignorance of the reasons that cause violence, or for the difficulty of implementing real solutions for the subject, that went through the increase of spending with public security, on the part of the federal and state governments, or due to social policies, especially those intended to education, employment, leisure and distribution of income.
In the recent months, we have seen a series of attacks committed by the organized crime, especially in the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In all of them, it is common to note that frightened citizens, afraid of leaving their homes facing an odd curfew established by thieves.
